How I Work

This work begins with presence. Whatever has brought you to this threshold, whether you are preparing for something, integrating something that has already happened, or simply sensing that there is more available to you than what you’ve found so far, I meet you where you are.

I work as a somatic guide in Seattle and virtually, bringing a trauma-informed, embodied presence to every part of our work together. Someone who knows this territory, who can stay steady when things get hard, and who is genuinely there for you.

My work is rooted in Hakomi, a somatic mindfulness-based approach I trained in at the Level 2 level, woven together with Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work. What this means in practice is that I bring body-centered awareness and somatic skills by tracking what arises in sensation, emotion, and parts as they surface, and gently accompanying what wants to move and be known. I follow your lead, honor your pace, and bring a caring presence throughout.

My Approach: Hakomi-Informed Somatic Support

What drew me to Hakomi was something I recognized before I had words for it: that the body knows things the mind hasn’t caught up to yet. Hakomi is a body-centered, mindfulness-based approach to healing, one that treats the body as a source of wisdom. Rather than working purely through talking and insight, it pays attention to what the body is doing in real time: a tightening in the chest, a held breath, a posture that’s been there so long it feels like personality. These physical cues are doorways into the deeper patterns and beliefs that shape how we live, often ones we couldn’t access through conversation alone.

The Hakomi lineage I trained in integrates this body-centered work with Internal Family Systems, or IFS. IFS understands the psyche as a community of inner parts, each with its own history, role, and way of trying to protect you. Some parts may be reactive and others perhaps hidden, carrying old pain they’ve never had space to put down. What I find most moving about this work is its foundational assumption: there are no bad parts. Every part of you developed for a reason. Our work together is about approaching each part with genuine curiosity, honoring the wisdom in what protects you, and following the body’s own sense of what is ready to be known.

This work is something we enter together. I will be genuinely present with you as you find your own way, slowing down, listening to what the body is carrying, and making room for what has been waiting. Consent and collaboration are at the heart of how I work. We’ll stay in conversation about what feels supportive, allowing trust to unfold at its own pace as we listen for your body’s signals along the way.

The Arc of Our Work

Preparation

We begin by simply getting to know each other. We explore what you are carrying, what you are hoping for, and what feels important for me to understand before we go anywhere together. We move through your personal history together and take time with what matters most. We work gently with whatever is present, curiosity, nervousness, old material that wants tending. I want to know your story, where you have been, what you are carrying, and what you are reaching toward.

Presence

I am with you, present, steady, and paying close attention. Drawing on somatic awareness and parts work, I track what arises in your body and inner world, moving with you through what the experience brings. I follow your lead, tend to what needs tending, and stay close to what is happening in you moment to moment. Whatever arises, you will not be alone in it.

Integration

This is where what opened begins to take root. Together we draw on somatic awareness, parts work, breathwork, mindfulness, active imagination, and whatever creative or embodied form wants to emerge. We make meaning, metabolize what was difficult, and help what shifted find its way into how you actually live. Integration is not separate from the experience. In many ways it is where things truly begin.

I show up to this work with care for the whole of you, your history, your body, your becoming. Whatever you bring, there is room for it here.
